2010 Annual Meeting Was a Great Success!

 

 

The 57th Annual Membership Meeting of Freestone Credit Union was held at the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church Christian Life Center at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010.  the meeting was called to order by jerry Neal, Executive Vice President, at 6:05pm.  There were 147 members; 26 employees, directors, and their families; 20 guests; and 14 children under eighteen years of age for a total attendance of 207.  A quorum was declared present.  Jerry Morris, Secretary-Treasurer was called on to lead the invocation.

 

Chairman of the Board, Fred Neale welcomed everyone to the meeting.  He also recognized three persons for their special contributions to the Credit union: Jeanette Gay, recently retired President and Chief Executive Officer, Jerry Neal, Executive Vice President, and Mrs. Dorothy Cameron, who voluntarily provided the credit union employees with a delicious cake each Monday.  Chairman Neale then turned the meeting over to EVP Neal for the conduct of our Annual Meeting.

 

EVP Neal called for the review and acceptance of the previous annual meeting minutes.  The motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as presented.  Fred Neale then presented the Report of the Board of the Directors to the membership.  The report was accepted as published.  DeAnne Harris then presented the President’s Report to the Membership.  That report was also accepted as published.  There was no old business or new business to come before the membership. 

 

As required by law, the Board of Directors required a vote of expiring Directors, Fred Neale and Mary Lee.  No petitions were brought to the credit union and the new 3 year terms of Neale and Lee were approved by acclamation.  The new 2010 Board of Directors are: H Fred Neale, Nancy Roberts, Jerry Morris, Benny Walker, James Sealey, Jean Tackett and Mary Lee.  The business part of the meeting was concluded and followed by a catered BBQ dinner from Sam’s Restaurant.  Following the meal, drawings were held for cash and prizes.  24 cash and gift prizes were awarded to members of the credit union.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm.
